truckYour car

Besides preparing your wallet and clothes, you might have to check your car. Although you’re sure that your car is perfectly fine, it is much better to bring your car to a full inspection, because there might be spots that you’re missing. Who knows that you might have to change your car’s battery or perhaps get a paintless dent repair for your car? Consider making a list to make repairs and inspection much more relaxed.

Tip: Do your inspection at least two weeks before your road trip, this way the trip won’t be canceled due to your car having to get fixed.

When you’re going on a road trip, make sure that you bring some food and water on the way. What you bring doesn’t have to be a full meal as it can be quite a hassle to pack all the food, but make sure to bring something just to stuff something into your body in case you’re trapped in traffic or when there’s no nearby convenience store. For some ideas, bring something such as bread, crackers, or anything to eat along the way.

Tip: Make sure to bring meds and first aid kit as well.

Portable power bank

With the era of smartphone and tablets, it is recommended to bring along a portable power bank as it can help when you can’t charge until you get into your hostel. Make sure that you don’t forget to charge it as well. A good portable power bank would range from 5000 to 10000 mAh, depending on your needs.

Download your map

In case that you don’t want to bring a map (which is a hassle and very old fashioned) make sure to download your map on the phone, this way you don’t have to waste your data or struggle when there’s barely any coverage to open up the GPS.
